Floor mats are used to protect the car's flooring and is molded to fill out the whole floor pan. Grip-lock Velcro and other fastener system are used to secure it in place and ensure stability under foot. It serves as moisture barrier to prevent unwanted dirt, mud, debris, snow and water from breaching onto the original carpet or flooring.
